Geopark lecture ‘Our climate in fast motion - what we can learn from geo-archives’- 28May

European Geopark Weeks - Geopark lecture ‘Our climate in fast motion - what we can learn from geo-archives’

As part of the ‘Climate Talks’ series of events in the district of Heidenheim, a lecture on ‘Our climate in fast motion - what we can learn from geo-archives’ will take place on Tuesday, 28 May 2024. The Managing Director of the Swabian Alb UNESCO Geopark, Dr Sibylle Knapp, has dealt intensively with the topic of geohazards in her research work and sheds light on the topic of climate from various angles. How can geo-archives provide information about the climate of the past, and what can we learn from them? How is climate change being recognized in the world and on the Swabian Alb? What climate adaptation strategies are there and what contribution can each individual make? These and other questions will be explored at the event.

The event starts at 6 pm at the Heidenheim District Office (Felsenstraße 36, Room B 004). The lecture is free of charge, registration is not required.
