Germany's most beautiful geotopes in 3D - portrayed in Swabian Alb Geopark

The German Geological Society - Geological Association (DGGV) presents Germany's thirty most beautiful geotopes in 3D as part of a DGGV Digital Geology project. The Geotope of the Month is located in the Swabian Alb Geopark.

Bizarre rock formations such as the Stone Virgins in the Eselsburg Valley (Heidenheim district) and the Kissing Sow in the Achtal valley near Blaubeuren (Alb-Donau district) are typical of the karst landscape of the Swabian Alb. The film created in the course of this project presents never-before-seen insights.

The film and further 3D-models can be found here.
