"Olgahöhle" (Olga's Cave)
The cave was named after Queen Olga of Württemberg. It is located in the major tufa terrace which fills much of the Echaz valley near Honau. It is therefore not a karst cave, formed by dissolving limestone, like virtually every other cave in the Swabian Alb but a tufa cave. Olga's Cave is 123 m long and is characterized by special cauliflower-shaped sinter deposits which have been formed by the encrustation of certain algae.
