"Ofterdinger Schneckenpflaster" (Ofterdingen Snail Slab)
In the stream bed of the Steinlach in Ofterdingen, there are giant fossil ammonites and oyster shells, the so-called Ofterdingen snail slab. The ammonite slab is around 100 m long and 4 m wide altogether. The stone slab from arietite limestone is protected as a geological natural monument.
The Ofterdingen snail slab is a Geopoint since September 2016.
