The largest landslide ever to take place in Baden-Württemberg occurred at the Mössinger Alb Escarpment in 1983. It left behind a primeval landscape which only slowly developed fascinating new life. The unique landslide has been under protection since 1988 and was declared a "national geotope" in 2006. You can walk along it following the signposted paths yourself or you can take part in a guided tour and experience the geological development of the Swabian Alb at an accelerated pace.
The Mössingen Landslide is a geopoint since July 2016.
